Donald Trump....and Mexico - An Opinion-

I know that this might not be the best place to talk about this subject, but talking about it on Facebook is a little... dangerous, to say the least. I´m scared to talk about it on Facebook because... everybody will think that I support Clinton or Trump if I talk about the elections, but the truth is that I do not support both of them. 

I´m sorry that my English is not the best, but I´m tired of seeing this on Facebook. I will not go into full detail on some subjects, and those might be talked about in another time.

I wanted to talk about this because...Mexico is pretty much dependant of the United States, a LOT. The agriculture sector is a mess, but Mexico buys vegetables and fruits to the USA. Mexico sell petroleum to America, and they sell us the gasoline to not so cheap prices.

As a Mexican, I think that the president of the United Mexican States, Enrique Peña Nieto, instead of saying that Mexico will not pay for the wall, he should have said that he will try to make the economy grow, that he will make many sectors of the country better.

Honestly, both candidates were bad choices for America. Clinton pretty much is corrupt, and Trump says a lot of stupid stuff. But saying that Clinton was an angel and that Trump is the devil is ridiculous. If Trump was very, very bad, then suicides on mass would have happened. This is a typical case about complaining just because. Yes, maybe there will be complaints that I´m wrong, but then again, it´s just an opinion. I have a friend that supports Trump, but he is not a racist or homophobic person. 

You see, the media, all of it, tells people that Trump supporters all are evil, all. And I don´t want to say that there is no racist people that support Trump, because there is, but I don´t want to go into much detail about this.

What I hate is that this anti-American movement begun on the social media of Mexico. That was in November, and I don´t know if it´s still strong as it was in November, but this is something that too is closely related to the elections of the USA. You see, there was a post on Facebook that went viral because it said things like, buy things that are Mexican, buy on Mexican stores, support the national economy. And that would have been a good thing, have it been just a thing to make Mexico be better, instead of doing the cliché of hating things from America. I know that America have done bad things in the past, but that is the past, it already happened, so the best thing would be letting it go. 

This elections on America made me thing about what will happen in Mexico. The obvious thing is that the left will use the win of Trump to get votes on the 2018 election, the left hates America a lot. 

What I do want for Mexico is to see it grow as a less American-dependent country. Mexico has changed a lot in the last 30 years, just compare the Mexico of 1986 to the Mexico of 2016. To this day, many people still thinks that Mexico is the worst country in the world, when the truth is that it is not. Yes, there is a lot of violence, but it is not a war zone like many claim Mexico is. The violence of Mexico really tainted the image of the country on the rest of the world.

Yes, there is still a lot of violence and bad people, as well as a not so good government, but let´s be honest, even the most developed nations of the world(not all) have those problems. 

I want to say to all the Mexicans and the people of Latinamerica that we need to be better. We need to be less dependant and to think that we can achieve more. Will Trump be a good or bad president? I don´t know, we will have to wait until January to see what happens.

We need to be better, we need to grow and be better.
